Tauriko School, in sunny Tauranga, has a casual caretaking position available to support the school to maintain an attractive site when its caretaker is on leave.
The position requires the applicant to enjoy working in an environment with both children and adults, have an enthusiastic, positive, can do attitude; the ability to work largely unsupervised, use initiative, a sunny disposition and to enjoy the opportunities this varied role brings.
Applicants should have proven experience in areas of care and maintenance of grounds and buildings, site security, cleaning, attending to heating of plant and swimming pools. Applicants should be open to opportunities for training to support their position. Registration or qualification as a tradesperson would be of benefit.
All applicants will need to meet the requirements of the Vulnerable Children’s Act, 2014, outlined in the application pack.
