Literacy Support Specialist:

We are currently seeking an energetic and passionate teacher to join our amazing team at Tauriko School. This fixed-term role is a part-time position across 4 mornings with the key responsibility of running Literacy Support groups. 

We are looking for a kaiako with an excellent understanding of teaching and learning, including specific strengths in learning differentiation, BSLA /  Structured Literacy, The Code and overall effective practice in Literacy.

We would love for you to apply if you:

• Have a passion for and a specific strength in Literacy.

• Love to create a learning culture that supports diversity and incorporates Assessment for Learning principles.

• Are an expert classroom practitioner.

• Have strong student management and the skills to build positive relationships with learners from Years 1-8

• Have the ability to design Literacy learning that is fun, differentiated and responsive to the needs of learners.

• Enjoy building and maintaining strong relationships with students, staff and whānau.
