Teaching Positions – Fixed Term

Tauriko School is looking for teachers to join our amazing teaching team.

We have one fixed-term part-time (0.5) and one fixed-term full time teaching position for Terms 3 & 4 2020.

New Entrants:

We are looking for a teacher with proven NE experience to join our school team 0.5 fixed-term for Terms 3 & 4. The time component may grow as the year progresses. This teacher will need to have a real strength in developing warm, supportive relationships with parents and students to enable our NE children to transition to school with confidence and develop a love of learning.

We are looking for a vibrant, engaged teacher who has a passion for teaching and learning, is reflective and has a commitment to their own professional growth. A sound knowledge of all learning areas of NZC, Assessment For Learning practice and strengths in literacy and mathematics are essential. Of benefit are strengths in:

  • Collaborative practice/Innovative Learning environments
  • Yolanda Sorrell, Barbara Brand, PMP

Year 5 & 6 Teacher

We are looking for a vibrant, engaged, experienced teacher to join our school team in a fixed-term full time position, to cover a maternity leave position for Terms 3 & 4. This person will work with a growth mind-set, have a passion for teaching and learning and a commitment to their own professional growth. A sound knowledge of all learning areas of NZC, Assessment For Learning practice, accelerated learning strategies and strengths in Maths and Literacy are important.

Of benefit are strengths in:

  • Special Education
  • Digital curriculum

Tauriko School - Office Position

Tauriko School requires someone to provide occasional cover for our school office staff when they are unable to work. This role would include general office duties, the ability to use computers and work in an on-line environment, the using a data base, and some finance and payroll work.

Experience working in a school would be an advantage. A current first aid certificate (or willingness to gain one) is required.
